History of kerala is so populer.There was a demon king named Mahabali.Mahabali was very powerful and energetic Onely one person was able to take control of the world but he was kindness,he was done charitable behaviour to other people because all of the people loved him.All lord was very upset
,Afterall lord Vishnu was chosen to take control of the world back from Mahabali.he was made thepathetically ugly and comical Brahmin,his named Vamana.

One day Vamana reached to front of Mahabali ,He asked Mahabali that you can gift of some land only three paces . Mahabali, not knowing this beggar was actually Lord Vishnu .he agreed to grant him this. As Vamana began to take his first stride he started to grow into a being so gigantic that his two paces encompassed the entire world and he asked Mahabali that where is my three paces,Mahabali said, you keeped on my head.Vamana suddenly put pace on Mahabali s head and pushed him,Only Pathalam kin

Immediately Parasurama threw his axe, which landed near Cape Comorin. As soon as the axe splashed into the ocean all of the land between the Western Ghats and the place where the axe landed rose from the sea. This land is the area now known as Kerala.

Ambalapuzha Temple: Actually Ambalapuzha temple is dedicated to Lord Krishana.This temple situated 8miles south of Alappuzha. This temple is famous throughout Kerala for the milk porridge, 'Palpayasam' served here.It s near by Karumadi ,it is an image of the Budda over there,That time was golden time for state , All Buddhism flourished in the state. It is also in this temple that 'Pallipana' is performed by 'Velans' (sorcerers) once in twelve years. Human sacrifice was conducted in ancient times.However, cocks have now replaced humans on the sacrificial altar.Neighbouring Alleppey, with its beautiful backwaters and canals has a water carnival and Regatta conducted every year as part of the Independence Day celebrations.

Thali Temple: Thali Temple, located downtown is an important temple of the erstwhile Zamorin Kingdom of Kozhikode.The temple is famous for the 'Revathi Pattathanam', an annual competition of pedagogic skills. A square sanctorum with a 'Mukhamandapam', very high laterite walls and an expansive temple pond are some of the specialities of this Siva temple.The annual festival falls in April/ May. The eight-day festival concludes with 'Arattu' or the holy bath ritual

The Devi is worshipped along with Lord Vishnu.All keralan known as Lakshminarayana.Everyone excepted who have mental illness seek refuge in the divine mother, who graciously cures all her devotees.Goddess Rajarajeswari is the presiding deity. This deity is worshipped in three different forms - as Saraswati in the morning - draped in white, as Bhadrakali at noon draped in crimson, and as Durga in the evening decked in blue.Poornatrayesa temple at Tripunittura.Highlights of Bharani festival, this celebrated in February- March, the former is performed as an offering to Bhagavathy.

Bhagavathi Temple: Kodungaloor, this located in the ancient capital of Kerala, is 35 kms north-west of Ernakulam, has a hoary past. From the days of recorded history, Kodungalloor, then a trade emporium in India, had been a maritime port of international repute. The city had been a beehive of activities and had trade relations with West as well as Middle-East.It s a temple of Bhagavathi.

Janardhanaswamy Temple: janardhamaswamy temple is most famous temple ,is temple of janardhamaswamy ,this sacuted in Arattu, the annual festival is celebrated every year in March-April commencing with of Kodiyettu (Flag hoisting) on Karthika day with of Karthika day ending with Arattu on Uthram day.Tens of thousands of people attend the festival. Colourful processions are held on all festival days.

Sree Vallabha Temple: This temple is located in Thiruvalla,this sacuted in 3-kms away from Thiruvalla Railway Station.It have many deities though it is dedicated Lord vishnu,Actully all temple in kerala mostlly dedicated Lord vishnu , The temple compound houses a tank supposed to be a natural one. The 50- feet high flag post is granite. An idol of garuda, vehicle of Lord Vishnu, is fixed atop the flag post. Ladies are allowed entry to the sanctum sanctorum only on two days; Vishnu and Thiruvathira. Annual festival, Uthraseeveli is celebrated on the Makayiram asterism in Meenam (March - April). Apart from the religious ceremonies , cultural programmes are also held.

Subrahmania Swamy Temple,Haripad: Subrahmania Swamy Temple located on Kollam-Alapuzha highway , this is most important temples devoted to Lord Subramania ,this is the one of the oldest, . The Subrahmania idol with four arms is the biggest of its kind designed after the sculptural pattern of the Buddhist period.

Siva temple, Ettumanoor: This temple sacuted in 12 kms.north of kottayam ,this ancient Shiva temple attracts many devotees and look at the temple s special charm There are exquisite mural paintings and sculptures inside the temple. Its central shrine is circular ,copper plats with a stupa of copper gift at the top. The Ramayana, scenes from Santhana Gopala Krishna Leela and Bhagavath are, beautifully carved round the shrine.The State Archeaological Department has opened a mural arts centre near the temple. The annual festival of the temple falls in February/March and it lasts for ten days. The last day 'Arathi' falls on the day of Thiruvathira.
