The Charme of Old Delhi Chandni Chowk Just Located opposite to Red Fort, this is the place where you can enjoy the old world charm. The hurrying crowd, the shouting vendors and overcrowded shops are the real charm of this place. You can find all types of items starting from textiles, jewelry, home furnishings, spices, household items to electronics, chemicals, ceramics, electrical, etc. Though, very crowded and congested. While going to Chandni Chowk don't forget to visit Meena bazar, it is worth visiting.
 
India Gate
India Gate is a 42 mtrs high stone arch of triumph. It's the India Gatememorial of Indian Army Soldiers. It bears the name of the 85,000 Indian Army Soldiers who died in the campaigns of World War I. Below the arch is the memorial to the unknown soldier. India Gate is surrounded by green grass lawns and trees. Don't Take a chance to miss visiting India Gate.
 
Jama Masjid
Work on the Jama Masjid mosque was begun in 1650 by the Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan to complement his palace at the Red Fort. More than 5,000 workers toiled for six years to complete the largest mosque in India. Every Friday, the emperor and his retinue would travJama Masjidel in state from the fort to the mosque to attend the congressional prayers. One of the Architectural beauty of the past, Jama Masjid is one of the largest mosques not only in Delhi but in India. Completed in 1658 this Mosque has three gateways, Four angle towers and two 40 m high minarets. From the top of minarets you can have a birds eye view of Delhi.
 
Jantar Mantar
Close to Connaught Place is a strange collection of astronomical instruments. At first sight, the Jantar Mantar appears like a galJantar Mantarlery of modern art. Sawai Jia Singh II of Jaipur (1699-1743), a keen astronomer and a noble in the Mughal court, was dissatisfied by the errors of brass and metal astronomical instruments. Built by Maharaja Jai Singh this structure is actually an observatory. The astonishing part of these observatories is that they can calculate many astronomical movements very accurately.
 
Old Fort
In History It is believed that the Pandavas had built their capital, Indraprastha at the place where the old fort stands todaOld Forty. This fort, now in ruins, was the seat for administration for many emperors. The legendary Prithviraj Chauhan ruled from here till he was defeated by Abdali in the battle of Panipat. Department of Delhi Tourism organised daily light & sound every evening.
 
Palika Bazar
Palika Bazaar is an underground, air-conditioned market located below the inner circle of Connaught Place. It hosts sePalika Bazarveral hundred shops selling a diverse range of items; however, the market is dominated by electronic items and clothing.

The Bazaar attracts many foreign tourists. It is known as a place with a very low level of prices. Bargain as much as you can... & get the lowest prices. Don't Miss atleast Visit once while roaming in Delhi.
 
Qutab Minar
Qutub Minar is the most rQutab Minarecognised landmark of Delhi. Qutab-ud-din Aibak, the first Muslim ruler of Delhi, commenced the construction of the Qutab Minar in 1200 AD, but could only finish the basement. His successor, Iltutmush, added three more storeys, and in 1368, Firoz Shah Tughlak constructed the fifth and the last storey. The development of architectural styles from Aibak to Tughlak are quite evident in the minar. The relief work and even the materials used for construction differ.it is the highest stone and one of the finest stone towers in India.
 
Raj Ghat
Along the banRaj Ghatks of the river Yamuna is located the place where the father of the nation, Mahatma Gandhi, was cremated. The Raj Ghat is one of the most visited Ghats. A simple square platform of black marble marks the spot where Mahatma Gandhi was cremated after his assassination in 1948. Beautiful Place to visit.
 
The Lotus Temple
The Lotus Temple or the BThe Lotus Templeahai temple is set amidst pools and gardens, and adherents of any faith are free to visit the temple and pray or meditate silently according to their own religion. The structure is in lotus shape so it often called the lotus temple. The view of the temple is very spectacular just before dusk when the temple is flood lit. Completed in 1986.
 
Red Fort
Built in Red Sand stone between 1639 - 1648 AD, this imposing fort is 3 kms in perimeter with the height of the wall fluctuating from 18 to 30 m at places. The Red Fort is one of Red Fortthe most magnificent palaces in the world. India's history is also closely linked with this fort. It was frorth here ht the British deposed the last Mughal ruler, Bhadur Shah Zafar, marking the end of the three century long Mughal rule. It was also fromits ramparts that the first prime. Minister of India, pandit Jawharlal Nehru, announced to the nation that India was free form colonial rule.
