"LOST" Dinner
My boyfriend really likes the television show "Lost." For the season premiere, I decided to surprise him with a dinner that was based on the show. I had never seen the show myself, so I spent all day researching what kinds of foods the characters ate on the island. I made a ham steak to represent the boar that was hunted, I made my own DHARMA Initiative food labels for a can of green beans, a bottle of soda, and a box of dehydrated potatoes to make mashed potatoes, and I had labels for Apollo bars. I also made a fruit salad, and we drank our drinks out of coconut cups. I also printed a DHARMA symbol for the outside of the door. He was so surprised and loved all the thought and effort I had put into making this dinner from him!

10 Reasons Why
For Valentine's Day, I cut out several hearts that led my boyfriend from the front door to the bedroom. He opened the door to a room full of balloons that covered the ground completely, with some balloons overlapping. In the middle of the room, on a chair, there was a stuffed black dog with boxing gloves on that read, "You're a Knock Out," (this was perfect since he loves to box)! There was a poem sitting beside it with candy kisses all around. In the midst of a room full of balloons he had to find the 10 special balloons and pop them to find the hidden message for the 10 Reasons Why I Love You.

A Big Valentine's Day Surprise
For my first Valentine's Day with my current husband I decided to go all out. He had expressed to me how in relationships he was always the one to put out all the effort. So, it being our first Valentine's Day together, I wanted to do something special. I purchased some rose petals, Hershey’s kisses and some colored paper. I traced my feet out on the paper and cut them out. I placed them from the doorway - up the stairs to the bedroom. On each foot sat a Hershey's kiss. In the bedroom, I decorated it with the petals scattered around the room, along with a bunch of balloons, flowers, and teddy bears. I also found an inflatable heart that had arms coming out of the side of it. The heart read "I love you this much." Well, when he got home from work he was so surprised he nearly cried. He followed the feet upstairs and was blown away. We had to stop at a store on the way home from dinner to get a disposable camera so he could take pictures of it. He wouldn't even let me clean up the petals or the foot prints. He wanted to save it for as long as he could. 3 years later (over 6 months of those being married) we still have all of it in our scrapbook. He told me the next day, that if he were to die and could only remember one thing to make him smile it would be that Valentine's Day. It meant the world to me that he felt that way.

A Day Just for Him
When my boyfriend started telling me that we barely have fun anymore, I thought it was time to change that. Since I only see my boyfriend every weekend, I thought it be fun to plan a whole day date. I decided to take him to play laser tag. When he found out we were going he was so happy because he had never played it before. After that we decided to play games at his favorite arcade. We played air hockey and when we were done we decided to eat. We went to a buffet and we had a great time laughing with each other. In return, I had the best lovemaking ever! He told me it was one of those dates that he will remember forever and will be proud to brag about it to all of his friends. I am happy to say I completed my goal and got my title as "The Best Girlfriend." Sometimes it doesn't hurt to act like a kid again when you’re with the one you love.

A Dollar for Your Smile
One night I called my boyfriend up at work and found out that he was having a bad night. Trying to think of a way to make him smile, but lacking money, I pulled out a dollar and wrote in big block letters “SMILE” and laminated it. I drove up to his job and placed it on his truck, so when he got off work he would instantly smile!

A Flower for Him
My fiancé is a pianist. One day he forgot his piano keyboard in my car and he asked me to deliver the keyboard to him. I bought a big pink sunflower, wrapped it nicely, put it in the pocket of the keyboard cover and put all in my car case. When I met him, I asked him to open the car case and take the keyboard, when he opened it ... he stood stunned for a minute and then laughed out loud.

A Great End To The Day
My husband had been working some pretty hard hours the following months after the birth of our son. So to show him how much he was appreciated I told him he could spend the day however he wanted, knowing him, he wouldn't be home till late, which worked perfectly for my plans. I asked assistance from a friend and she took the baby for the night, leaving me the whole day to put my plan into action. I made every room (excluding the baby’s' room, which had been closed off,) my personal love nest. I lit candles everywhere, put on some music and prepared his favorite meal. As I heard him pull into the driveway I had just enough time to run a sensual bath and hightail it to the door where I met him naked. Needless to say, the meal was cold when we ate.

A Little Birthday Getaway
For my husbands birthday, I found a little hotel with heart shaped a Jacuzzi in the room. I bought numerous amounts of gifts including baseball tickets. I put the gifts all around the room, and candles around the Jacuzzi. I asked someone at the desk if they would put our wine on ice while I went to go pick him up. I blindfolded my husband so it would be a complete surprise. When we got to the room I took the blindfold off and sung "Happy Birthday" to him. We both enjoyed the night together, and the next day we had his favorite ice cream cake and went to the game.

A Little Cheering Up Goes A Long Way
I'm only in high school so of course I don’t have a lot of money. But today my boyfriend was feeling really down in the dumps and he is getting sick. He had told me how much he missed me and he wished he could see me. So I began to plot. I went to the store and got a few red roses because he said he liked them and Twix bars ‘cause they are his favorite candy. I then wrote a note on the computer along with his favorite flower, the bird of paradise. In the letter I explained how he makes me feel and how much I love him. Then I showed up at his house and gave him all I had gotten for him. HE LOVED IT! I never thought such a little thing would make him as happy as he did. So, small things can mean a lot and for girls if you do this, your man won’t believe it.

A Little Motivation
My boyfriend plays football for the school we both attend and always complains about how bad summer practices are. So, one night I went out and got balloons, streamers, a poster board, and some cute stickers and such to make him a little something. The next morning I got up early and went to the school when I knew he would be on the football field and put 7 balloons for the 7 months we have been dating (each with a reason why I love him) in his truck. I also hung streamers in the truck and put the poster I had decorated with some of our inside jokes and pictures of us on it. In the driver’s seat I placed a bouquet of flowers for him. Needless to say, he LOVED it!!
